SHEBOYGAN - The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra will perform its first live concert in 18 months with a “Welcome Back” fundraiser at the Stephanie H. Weill Center on Saturday, August 14, at 7:30 p.m.
The concert will feature music from "Star Wars", "Jurassic Park," "Wicked," "Les Miserables" and more. Lakeland University Music Professor Evan Chancellor will be the guest conductor.
In addition to the concert, there will be a virtual auction to benefit the SSO. Items include a Whistling Straits golf package, a one-week luxury stay in Elkhart Lake, a one-hour private concert with the SSO string quartet and a guest conducting experience with the SSO, among others.
To purchase concert tickets, contact the Weill Center box office at 920-208-3243 or go to https://sheboygansymphony.org/. Tickets are also available for the upcoming season, which will start in October.
The 2021-22 season will feature four conductor finalists as part on an ongoing search for the SSO’s next Musical Director.
