ELKHART LAKE — Road America is not just a location for fair-weather fans!

Here is a look at the several winter activities offered by the destination track:

Schnee Days Disc Golf Challenge

This challenge will run from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 30. Registration is $20 and can be found online.

Pre-registration includes a free practice round on Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Schnee Days Sledding

Grab the family and hit the hills outside of Turn 14. The area is large enough for other activities including building a snowman and more for a full snow day. The event also runs Saturday Jan. 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Passes are $10 per carload and can be purchased online.

Winter Autocross Series

This series includes drivers from the most experienced autocrosser to the novice driver. The closed course offers a variety of challenges including speed stop challenge, short autocross and long autocross.

Events remaining this season are slated for Feb. 6 and March 6. Registration is open to the first 80 cars and can be found online.

This program is much less recreational and more instructional. It's ideal for drivers looking to sharpen their winter driving skills with its in-car drills and classroom lessons including skid control and recovery, braking and emergency lane changes on wet pavement and more.

Classes from from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and are offered on Jan. 30, Feb. 13, Feb. 27 and March 7. The cost is $160 per person, and registration can be found online.
