Cops and Bobbers cover

SHEBOYGAN - The Cops and Bobbers fishing event will take place on July 31, connecting officers of the Sheboygan Police Department with young anglers.

The free event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at a private pond, but participants will meet at the Sheboygan Police Department.

Cops and Bobbers is meant for children from 7-13 years old, but parents are encouraged to stay and participate. No fishing experience is required. Anyone over the age of 16 must possess a valid Wisconsin fishing license to participate.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own rod and reel, but fishing equipment will be provided for anyone who does not have any. For safety reasons, fly fishing rods are not allowed.

Children who sign up will receive a Cops and Bobbers shirt. Snacks and drinks will be available on site, but a packed lunch is encouraged.
