3 Sheeps Brewing is hosting the Brat City Strongest Competition for the second straight year.

SHEBOYGAN – 3 Sheeps Brewing will be hosting two great events on one day when the local brewery welcomes the Brat City Strongest Competition and holds its Pints for a Purpose fundraiser on Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Both events will take place at 3 Sheeps’ Taproom at 1837 North Ave. in Sheboygan. This is the second year 3 Sheeps is hosting the Brat City Strongest Competition, which tests the strength of competitors from several different weight classes in a variety of events.

Categories include Keg Clean and Press, Barrel Squat, the Sheboygan Fire Department Loading Medley, the Sheboygan Fire Department Fire Truck Harness Pull and Atlas Stone Event.

Competitors will be divided into weight classes at the official weigh-in Friday, July 29 from 5-7 p.m. at Rage Fitness, 3321 S. Business Drive in Sheboygan, or at 3 Sheeps before the competition on Saturday, July 30 from 7-9 a.m.

3 Sheeps brewer and United States strongman national champion Chris Alitz will organize the event along with Rage Fitness. Rage co-owner and coach Todd Arnoldi feels the event is a great way to support the community.

“Our values are based on supporting our community through fitness and the Brat City Strongest allows us to do that at a high level. We are excited to be working with others who share our community-based values and couldn't have better partners than 3 Sheeps Brewing and the Sheboygan Professional Firefighters,” said Arnoldi.

3 Sheeps founder and brewmaster Grant Pauly is also proud to host the event, and expects a strong turnout from the community. “Our brewery is always honored to be part of charitable events and community gatherings. We are sure there will be strong support at this year’s event just as there was last year.”

Sheboygan Professional Firefighters Local 483 will be on hand to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through their Pints for a Purpose “Fill the Boot” fundraiser, and will have a fire truck and ambulance on display for tours.

The day will also include raffles, a brat fry by Miesfeld’s, food tents, and a wide selection of 3 Sheeps beer, Cloudless Hard Seltzer and various non-alcoholic beverages.

3 Sheeps will be donating $1 of every pint of beer purchased on July 30 and $1 of every pint of 3 Sheeps Pils purchased in the month of July to the fundraiser.
