SHEBOYGAN — In Saturday night's double header rivalry matchup, the North boys basketball team jumped out to an 8-0 lead over South and never looked back.
The early lead included two three-pointers, setting the tone for the Raiders, who went on to a 76-48 win over the Redwings.
Though both teams never lifted their foot on the gas pedal, it was North's nine buckets from behind the arc that kept the lead comfortable throughout the match.
The Raiders were led in scoring by sophomore Chase Schoenenberger with 24 points. Senior Kirby Clayborn Jr. added 15, and junior Luke Schmidt added 10. Schmidt and Clayborn each had two three-pointers on the night, joined by Schoenenberger and senior Devin Schieble.
For South, senior Marcell Drone held the Redwings with 18 points on the night. Juniors Lukas Ladwig scored nine and Jacob Leonhard had seven. Senior Kollin Mangan added six.
