SHEBOYGAN — Their seasons may be over, but that doesn't mean the Sheboygan North and South girls volleyball and swim teams didn't give us some great moments throughout the season.
North finished with an overall record of 7-5 and a league record of 6-4. South finished with an overall record of 5-6 and league record of 4-5.
Manitowoc Lincoln ended both the Raiders' and Redwings' seasons in tournament play. The top-seeded Ships defeated four seed Sheboygan South 25-7, 25-19, 25-17 on Saturday, April 10, and advanced to face Sheboygan North, the two seed. North overcame Fond du Lac 22-25, 25-17, 25-15, 26-24 to advance to the Manitowoc matchup.
The Ships claimed the region with a 25-11, 25-12, 25-15 sweep over North.
SWIM & DIVE
The Sheboygan North girls swim and dive team advanced to state. The Raiders finished in 13th place out of 31 teams with a total of 55 points.
The relay team of Libby Cleveland, Katie Spence, Gigi Gotzmer and Julia Renzelmann placed 12th in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:52.19. The 200-yard freestyle relay of Cleveland, Gotzmer, Renzelmann and Kierra Perez finished in eighth with a time of 1:40.09.
Individually, Renzelman placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.24 and Perez placed ninth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:15.03.
