Timm

Sheboygan South senior Dylan Timm takes it to the hoop during their Jan. 8 game at home against De Pere.

SHEBOYGAN — Time to get your game face on.

Each week, we will chat with an area high school athlete about why they got involved in sports, what their favorite sports memories are and much more.

Get to Know: Dylan Timm

School: Sheboygan South High School

Grade: Senior

Sport(s): Basketball, baseball

Favorite team/athlete: Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves

When did you get involved with sports?

Probably since like age 4. I was always raised watching sports—there were always games on tv as a kid. Baseball and basketball were the two ones that I just happened to pick up.

What do you like to do outside of school/sports?

Definitely turning on my PS4.

Favorite games on there?

Play 2K mostly or Call of Duty.

Favorite sports memory?

Last year we did a gift exchange for basketball and our center (Marcell Drone) got a yeti onesie from one of our other teammates. The very next game he hit the game-winner, and we all started calling him the Big Yeti for the rest of the year. It was great.

Any pre-game rituals?

I have to look at memes before the game. I almost always do that.

Are you one that listened to music to get pumped up?

If I want to listen, I have a whole playlist that I'll listen to just always on shuffle. My all-time favorite would be Eminem, but I'll listen to a variety before.

Which games do you have highlighted on South's schedule this year?

North/South is always flagged, regardless. I doubt we'll be able to have any fans, which will be weird, but the energy will still be there. I mean, it won't be the energy of having the majority of the city there, but it's still a game that's flagged.

How has this season been for you and your teammates?

It sucks. This is not what I pictured my senior year looking like, not at all, but I'm thankful that we're playing. We look at the football guys, and they don't even know if they'll play. We at least get to know we have a season, even if it's not the full 22 games that other schools have. We're a really close bunch of guys, so even though it's a shortened season, we're still having fun.

What are your plans after graduation?

I haven't decided for sure on a college yet, I'm hoping to decide within the next month. I do plan to major in marketing, though. My number one school is Marquette, my number two is Madison and number three Missouri.
