Majestic Crossing Dairy Farm is the site of this year's Classroom on the Farm.

SHEBOYGAN FALLS – The county’s elementary school students will have a chance to explore Wisconsin agriculture when the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau hosts Classroom on the Farm.

The educational event will take place at Majestic Crossing Dairy Farm in Sheboygan Falls on Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 12-2 p.m., and will involve nearly 1,000 third and fourth grade students from Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Random Lake and Kiel.

Two groups of students from the schools will attend each day. They will rotate through nine stations on the following agricultural topics: Let’s Milk a Cow, Wisconsin Agricultural Diversity, Robotic Milking Demonstration, Beef, The Cow Doctor, A Day in the Life of a Cow, Farm Machinery, A Cow Needs to Eat, and Baby Calves.

The stations will be led by local dairy farmers and representatives from Nutritional Professionals, Riesterer and Schnell, CP Feeds, the Sheboygan County Dairy Promotion Committee, and the Dairy Business Association.

Each student in attendance will receive a backpack full of information about Wisconsin agriculture, dried cranberries from the Wisconsin Cranberry Growers and Baker string cheese. Teachers will receive informational packets and a copy of the book of the year.
