Camp Evergreen

SHEBOYGAN — There are few things more important to a community than its people. This series will highlight your fellow Sheboyganites in a fun question-and-answer format.

Get to Know: Mark Ellis

What made you want to get involved in your current position?

The opportunity to work with and help our community members with exceptional life challenges…and the personal challenge to make an already amazing program even better. So many people have lent a hand in making Camp Evergreen the wonderful place it is today!

What does an average day look like in your position?

That varies as much as Sheboygan’s weather…paperwork, painting, hiring, organizing, reorganizing, public relations, putting out fires, maybe starting a few. It’s always interesting and challenging!

What do you enjoy most about your position or organization?

The people! Our participants, their families and care providers, my amazing staff, our dedicated board of directors, our generous contributors…all the people that make-up the Camp Evergreen Family.

What is your favorite thing to do in and around Sheboygan?

Camp, SSC, Kiwanis Club of Greater Sheboygan.

What else should we know about you or your organization?

Camp Evergreen is an amazing place filled with amazing people. I’m extremely fortunate to have been given the opportunity to be a part of its history. I welcome a visit from anyone who would like to sit down and chat about camp, take a tour, etc. And check out our Website… and like us on FaceBook.
