Dorothy Roerdink, died October 11, 2021. She was born on September 7, 1931 in Cleveland, WI, a daughter of the late Walter and Erma (Kammann) Ladwig. 

She graduated from North High in 1949 and attended UW Sheboygan Extension for two years. In 1951 she married Fred Roerdink. They lived in Black River area for 30 years. As a young woman she was active in Girl Scouting and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. In 1986 they moved to Spartanburg, SC with Hayssen. She was also a teacher’s aide in the GED program in Spartanburg. They returned to Sheboygan in 2012 to be closer to family. Her husband preceded her in death in 2016.

She is survived by a son James (Ellen) Roerdink, Hartford, WI and their children Julie (Andy) Ebenhoe, great grandchildren Ethan and Rebecca, Hartford; Nicholas (Donna) Roerdink, great grandchildren Donna and Chase, Two Rivers; Daughter Carol (Steve) Bimmel, Sheboygan Falls and their children Jennifer (Alex) Torborg and great granddaughter Rowan, Washburn, WI; Peter Bimmel, Boone, NC; and David (Heather) Bimmel, Sheboygan Falls. She is further survived by her brother Robert (Barbara) Ladwig, Carlsbad, CA, sister-in-law Gladys Ladwig, Missoula, MT and sister-in-law Lorraine Roerdink, Sheboygan and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her parents and her husband’s parents and by her brother Walter and Fred’s three brothers and sister, nephew, two sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law.

Following Dorothy’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private Memorial service will be held at a later date.
