WIS-57 improvements cover

The proposed projects will affect 15.9 miles of WIS-57 in Sheboygan County.

PLYMOUTH – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is holding a public involvement meeting about proposed improvements to 15.9 miles of WIS-57 on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Sheboygan County Transportation Department, W5741 County Road J in Plymouth.

The proposed improvements include a resurfacing of WIS-57 within project limits. This will involve milling 2.5 inches and replacing it with 2.5 inches of hot mix asphalt.

There are also four intersection modifications proposed, including adding a roundabout at WIS-57 and County Road J, creating an RCUT at WIS-57 and County Road U, and making unspecified improvements to intersections at WIS-57 and County Road C and WIS-57 and WIS-28. The projects are scheduled for construction in 2028.

The meeting will begin with a short presentation, followed by an open house meeting format. The public is invited to review project design details, displays and exhibits, ask questions, and provide comments to assist the Wisconsin DoT in project design.

If members of the public are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, they should contact Project Manager Kimberly Slezak at 920-492-4131 or Kimberly.Slezak@dot.wi.gov.
