SHEBOYGAN FALLS — Pine Haven Christian Communities announced that it will be converting its Redeemer Home on the Haven Drive campus into a dedicated COVID-19 recovery unit.

The self-contained, independent unit will hold up to 14 residents who have COVID-19 and have been discharged from a hospital or are within quarantine but need continued medical attention.

At this time, the unit is only taking transfers from hospitals and clinics.

The unit will open on Thursday, Nov. 12, and is located at 220 Haven Drive in Sheboygan Falls.

It will have dedicated staff and extensive support from the infection preventionzist and hospital partners. All employees will wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and work is being done to create a negative pressure environment equivalent to being in a hospital setting, according to the press release.

The non-COVID rehabilitation unit on the campus will remain in operation.
