SHEBOYGAN COUNTY — A virtual public involvement meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, to discuss the proposed 2028 resurfacing improvements on WIS 23 through Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, Kohler and Sheboygan.
The virtual meeting will be hosted by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) North via Microsoft TEAMS, and will include a short presentation by project engineers to show proposed improvements, discuss schedule and traffic impacts and provide an overview of possible real estate needs. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.

The proposed improvements include repairing pavement, mill and overlay, reconstruction of intersections at WIS 23/Sunset Road and WIS 23/County TT, replacing beam guards and installing pavement markings. The project is expected to take place in 2028 with a possibility of a 2026 advancement date. The full project details can be found on the project site at wisconsindot.gov.
WIS 23 will remain open throughout the majority of construction with single-lane closures to be expected. Temporary lane closures and restrictions will occur on Sunset Road and County TT during reconstruction. Access will remain for all residents and businesses.
