SHEBOYGAN — On Tuesday, Oct. 6, Green Street Development broke ground on The Oscar, Sheboygan's largest known housing development to date.

The 17.5-acre mixed-used development site in Sheboygan will feature 240 apartments, a new Kwik Trip and a 1.5 acre lot that has not yet been claimed.

The Oscar will provide a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments across three buildings. The development will include underground, temperature-controlled and secured parking and several amenities. The first phase is planned to open September 2021 according to a news release.

The site formerly occupied Van Der Vaart Concrete Company at 1440 S. 16th Street on the eastern side of the city.
