William “Bill” Najacht

William “Bill” Najacht, age 77, lifelong resident of Sheboygan passed away early Wednesday morning, July 18, 2018. Bill was born November 29, 1940 in Sheboygan to the late William and Marie (Potter) Najacht.  

Bill married Mary Popielarz on December 2, 1961 and she preceded him in death on September 25, 1998.  Bill was then united in marriage to Joan Sederstrom on January 8, 2000 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan where he was a lifelong member. Bill was a 50-year member of the Operating Engineers Local Union #139 and worked for Northeast Asphalt for 39 years, retiring in 1999. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for his ability to fix lawnmowers. Bill had a love of Belgian horses and enjoyed traveling to many states in his RV. He spent his winters in Florida.

Bill is survived by his wife Joan, daughter Ginger Najacht of Sheboygan, son Jason Najacht of Oak Harbor, WA, step-daughters Lori Sederstrom and Amy (Scott) Seefeldt both of Sheboygan, grandchildren Stephan Shigley, Jamie Holzhueter and Ashley Weber great-grandchildren Hayden, Adrian, Emery and Brynlee, sisters Helen Peters of Green Bay, Ann (Dennis) Nelson of Oostburg, Carol (Kevin) Jones of Muscatine, IA and other relatives and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his first wife Mary, parents, infant daughter Donna De and a step-son Scott Sederstrom.

Family and friends may call at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave. Sheboygan on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon. Pastor Timothy Mech will officiate. Burial will take place in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the town of Wilson.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church.
