Kenneth Russell Kohl

Kenneth Russell “Ken” Kohl, age 77, of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away on Tuesday (June 12, 2018) at the Sheboygan Senior Community Center where he was a resident for the past four months.

He was born on February 17, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI, a son of the late Russell and Lucille (Gavigan) Kohl.

Ken attended Boltonville/Batavia Grade School and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1959.  

On December 21, 1963 he married Colleen Yoho at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Batavia.

Ken was a realtor, worked at Bolen’s Company in Port Washington and owned and operated his own Hardware Business for many years.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church where he served as an usher, trustee, and elder. He also served on the Batavia Fire Department for over 30 years.

Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends; especially watching his children and grandchildren participate in competitive sports. When he was younger he was athletic and enjoyed playing sports. He was always up for playing a good card game.  

He is survived by his loving wife: Colleen of Sheboygan Falls; Three children: Lisa (Peter) Brickner of Howards Grove, Steven (Dawn) Kohl of Manitowoc, Randal (Dawn) Kohl of Milwaukee; Six grandchildren: Matthew Brickner (fiancée: Kenzie Yuengst), Erica Brickner (special friend: Nick Moody), Nicholas Brickner, Katelyn Kohl, Tyler Kohl, Samantha Kohl; One great-grandchild: Evalynn Moody; Two sisters-in-law: Gerlaine (Don) Heusterberg and Susan (Dennis) Fetting; and One brother-in-law: William (Terri) Yoho. 

He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday (June 16, 2018) at 3:00 P.M. at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Batavia. Rev. Brian Krueger, pastor of the Church will officiate. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday (June 16) at the CHURCH from 12:00 Noon until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ken’s name.
