Marguerite M. Buhler

Marguerite M. Buhler, age 96, of Cedar Grove (formerly Cascade), passed away late Wednesday morning (October 11, 2017) at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan where she had been a resident for the past two years.

She was born on November 13, 1920 in Waukesha, WI, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Bohman) Monahan.

Marguerite attended Washington Grade School in Sheboygan and graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan in 1938.

On October 16, 1943 she married Wilbert Buhler in Sheboygan. The couple resided in the Town of Sherman until 2011 and moved to the Town of Holland.  They spent 70 wonderful years of marriage together.  He preceded her in death on August 22, 2014.

Marguerite was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Random Lake.

She enjoyed baking, living on the farm and spending time with her loving grandchildren.

Survivors include: Two children: David (Karla) Buhler of Sheboygan and Robert (Debbie) Buhler of Sherwood; One son-in-law: Doug Hasenstein of Sheboygan; Nine Grandchildren: Erin Buhler of Plymouth, Katie (Mike) Witkowski of Plymouth, Jamie Buhler of Sheboygan; Sierra, Savannah and Ben Buhler all of Sherwood; and Sean, Tyler and Nathan Hasenstein all of Sheboygan; One great-grandchild: Jaxson Witkowski.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents; Her husband; Two children: Margie Hasenstein and John Buhler; One Brother: Donald Monahan; One Sister: Josephine (Robert) Urbancic; and Two sisters-in-law: Mabel Thimmig and Evelyn Wittkopp.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday Morning (Oct. 16, 2017) at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Random Lake. Father Richard Cerpich will officiate. Burial will be in the Hingham Cemetery.

Friends may call at the CHURCH on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marguerite’s name.
