George C. Pfeifer

George C. Pfeifer, age 92, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening (October 8, 2017) at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

He was born in Glenbeulah on May 26, 1925, son of George and Dorthea (Bartell) Pfeifer.

He attended schools in Glenbeulah and graduated from Glenbeulah High School in 1943.

George served in the United States Air Force from Sept. 27 to Dec. 24, 1943.

On May 15, 1952 he married Helen Nelson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth.  The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.

He worked at Bolen Company for 31 years retiring in 1991.

George was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Wilson.

He enjoyed sports, reading and watching T.V.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years: Helen; 4 sons: George (Tammay) Pfeifer of Belgium, Gordon (Cindy) Pfeifer of Sheboygan, Steven Pfeifer of WA, and Robert (Rochelle) Pfeifer of Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; 5 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law.

Memorial services will be held on Friday evening (October 13, 2017) at 7:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Shane Cota, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church - Town of Wilson will officiate.  Inurnment will be in Greenbush Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Friday (Oct. 13) from 4:00 P.M. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in George’s name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
