Stanley Charles Schwarten

Stanley Charles “Stan” Schwarten, 82, of Plymouth passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning (May 10, 2017) at his home.

He was born on September 19, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI, a son of the late Curtis and Emily (Cox) Schwarten.

Stan graduated from St. John’s Military Academy in Delavan, WI. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954- 1956.

On October 13, 1956, he married Joan Anderson in Milwaukee, WI. She preceded him in death on October 16, 2006.

He worked at S & S Automotive of Chicago, Illinois but was based in Milwaukee as District Seller for many years.

Stan enjoyed Packer games, Sheepshead Card Club, golfing, cars, racing, animals, especially his cats and dogs, and his grand babies.

Survivors include: Two daughters: Lori Johnson of Plymouth, Andrea Lester of Port Washington; One son: Dnison (Patricia) Penndragon of Hartford, WI; One daughter-in-law: Lucia Schwarten of Plymouth; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Grace Bacon of Canada and Suzanne Bruss of Oconomowoc.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Joan; Mother-in-law: Ruby Nennig; One son: Todd Schwarten; One son-in-law: David Lester; One granddaughter: Rachel Schwarten; Two great-grandchildren: Gemma and Todd Schwarten; One brother: Jerry (Diane) Schwarten; and two brothers-in-law: David Bacon and Bob Bruss.

Following Stan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be NO VISITATION OR SERVICES.   

A memorial fund is being established in Stan’s name.
