
Mrs. Joyce Elaine (Kristzonas) Aschenbach, of Plymouth, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Joyce was born Feb. 1,1929. She was the daughter of John and Marcella (Burkart) Kristzonas. On April 17, 1948 she married Edward O. Aschenbach, Jr. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a faithful member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, serving as head of the Altar Guild, a member of the call committee, Food Pantry, Shepherding committee, R & R group and Daughter's of St. Mark. She currently held a membership at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Joyce was employed at H.C. Prange, Lake to Lake Dairy and retired from Tom Mlada American Family Agency after 18 years. Joyce served Longfellow school as a volunteer and the PTA as president. She was honored by the State PTA with a Life Membership. Joyce served as the City of Sheboygan PTA President. She volunteered with the Little League and Cub Scouts.
Joyce is survived by her five sons, Edward (Jennifer) of Howards Grove, Mark (Jill) of Sheboygan, David (Debra) of Sheboygan Falls, Jeffrey of Plymouth and John (Allison) of Plymouth; twelve grandchildren, Kelly (special friend, Andy Stauff), Michael, Mark, Jr. (fiancé Virginia Benish), Debra (Steven) Neeb, Lucas (Laura) Hartlep , Heather (Hans) Van Koningsveld, Joshua (Megan), Rebecca (Zachary) Bersch, Seth, Noah, JohnO and Charlie and ten great grandchildren, Alexia, Dakota, Brayden, Jaden, Adam, Paige, Olivia, Shelby, Ian and Ezekiel.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her parents, an infant daughter and her in-laws.
A funeral service for Joyce will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 20 at St. John Lutheran Church 222 N. Stafford, Plymouth with Pastor Nathan Meador and Vicar Eric Luhman officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. A private inurment service will be held at Garden of Peace Mausoleum.
Joyce’s family would like to extend their appreciation to Rev. Thomas Burton, Pastor Emeritus of St. John Lutheran Church.
